YAY! Our son participated in the youth division this year and was thrilled! He learned how to prep the fiber for a spin-off for the first time. Thank you to the amazing people who organized the show!
Spin-offs are a fun and easy way to participate in shows around the country! You select a nice 2 ounce sample from the prime fleece and take out all of the hay bits. You want to keep their lock structure in tact. The judge will take some fiber and spin it into yarn. They fill out a score card which gives you very helpful information.
