Alpacas are great animals to have for many reasons. One of them is how eco-friendly they are!
They are very cost efficient since they don’t eat much due to their efficient digestive system. They produce beautiful fleece and great fertilizer in return. They are very easy on the land with their soft padded feet and gentle grazing habits that won’t tear the roots out.
One of the best features is their communal poop pile. Not only is this much easier to clean up, but it keeps the parasite problem to a minimum. This means we rarely need to use dewormers. This is great for the animals as well as the soil. The poop pile makes it easier to gather the high quality fertilizer and apply them to our garden.
